A gateway to floral paradise, the Valley of Flowers is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in India, and is privileged the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site! Nestled atop a breathtaking altitude of 14,400 ft., the valley is home to countless exquisite floral species that carpet the trails. A crisscross of white, purple, blue, yellow, and red paints the verdant canvas of the trek, while towering Himalayan massifs stand guard throughout. A blend of enchanting aromas from the carpeting flowers swirl through the valley, putting trekkers in a daze.
Enhancing the fantastic beauty of the trail are several streams that wind through the splendid meadows. The landscape of the trek is beautifully woven with stellar grasslands, idyllic lakes, and the rising magnificence of snow-clad Himalayan giants. Monsoons breathe a new life into the valley, which morphs into an expansive quilt of blossoming flowers.
Another alluring highlight of the trek is the alpine lake of Hemkund Sahib, huddled high in the laps of the Himalayas. The lake demands a thrilling climb, which you traverse while dreaming away of the delicious hot langar (meal) that awaits you at the Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib.
